The role

A backend developer at a food-tech and logistics platform designs Go microservices for order management, inventory, and logistics, building RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures. The work also applies PostgreSQL and Kafka to create scalable, fault-tolerant services.

Full job description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain microservices in Go that support high-scale, low-latency systems for order management, inventory, and logistics.

Build and optimize RESTful and gRPC APIs consumed by internal platforms and partner applications.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Own the full lifecycle of services: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and on-call support.

Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance under high-concurrency, real-time traffic.

Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code, and participate actively in code reviews.

Work with distributed data stores, caching layers, and message queues to build resilient event-driven systems.

Contribute to architectural decisions, including service decomposition, data modeling, and system design reviews.

Debug and resolve production issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.

Requirements:

4-7 years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Go (Golang).

Solid understanding of concurrency patterns in Go (goroutines, channels, and sync primitives).

Experience building and scaling microservices architectures in production environments.

Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.

Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra).

Experience with message brokers/streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Working knowledge of caching systems such as Redis or Memcached.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of observability practices: logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Prior experience in quick-commerce, e-commerce, food-tech, or logistics platforms.

Exposure to event-driven architectures and domain-driven design.

Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small technical initiatives.

Contributions to open-source Go projects or active involvement in the Go community.
