We are looking for someone to support the design, implementation, monitoring, optimization, and ongoing effectiveness of risk processes and controls across eBay. This role combines strong operational and policy knowledge with analytical thinking, process management, technical capability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Skills Needed (ranked most important first)

Operational Insights & Reporting: Responsible for comprehensive risk reporting across GCX workflows, encompassing user sentiment (appeals and contact frequency), system integrity (review, action, and automation efficiency), AI-driven notification systems, and the development of robust, scalable visualization tools.

Controls Monitoring & Continuous Improvement: Strong ownership mindset with the ability to monitor implemented controls, evaluate ongoing effectiveness, identify gaps or emerging risks, and drive sustainable process improvements.

Analytical & Investigative Thinking: Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify detection and system gaps, recommend solutions, define success metrics, and use data to drive decisions and improvements.

Policy & Risk Expertise: Strong understanding of eBay’s trust and risk policies and processes, or a proven track record in policy enforcement, risk management, or risk operations.

Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with eBay tools and internal systems such as DEX, Agent Desktop, Business Rules (LVIS), OCS, and related operational platforms is highly desirable.

Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of SQL, Excel (including PivotTables), Tableau or other data visualization tools. Experience with Python, R, automation, or developing tools that improve team effectiveness is an advantage.

Agentic / AI Focus: Familiarity with different AI tools used at eBay and experience using these tools to create efficiencies in processes and assist with KPI monitoring.

Communication & Executive Reporting: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics and produce clear metrics, summaries, recommendations, and presentations for senior leadership.

Business Process Management: Knowledge of Business Process Management principles, including the ability to understand, document, and create business processes, workflows, and process flow diagrams.

Problem Solving & Adaptability: Creative and pragmatic problem solver who enjoys getting into the detail, challenges existing ways of working, and can adapt quickly as business priorities and risk environments evolve.

Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong relationship-building, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills, with experience working effectively across functions, geographies, and remote teams while maintaining a strong focus on doing the right thing for eBay’s customers.

Project & Change Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, own project timelines, coordinate implementation activities, and successfully deliver in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in areas such as Risk Management, Risk Operations, Qualitative/Quantitative Analysis, Controls, Business Process Management, or Project Management.

PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar certifications are an advantage.
