Full job description
Responsibilities:
Own the Retrieval Pipeline: Document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, hybrid search, and reranking.
Dual-Corpus Retrieval: Build retrieval architectures spanning public literature and private enterprise documents with provenance.
Citation and Onboarding: Manage citation and identifier resolution (such as DOI/arXiv-class documents) and large-scale data onboarding.
Retrieval Evaluation: Establish evaluation metrics and test harnesses to systematically improve search quality with every release.
Requirements:
Experience Required: 8+ years in ML/backend engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Hands-on expertise with vector stores, embeddings, and rerankers (graph databases are a major plus).
Experience processing scientific or technical document corpora.
