Financial Analyst

We're looking for a Financial Analyst to own the systems that carry our financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting processes. Our finance data should be clean enough and well-presented enough inside our Financial Planning tool, Abacum, that people trust what they see to run the business. When a question is too dense or too multi-dimensional to answer well on the team space, it should live in our data platform tool as a Liveboard — and you should be the person who knows where that line sits and balances data in the best tool for managing the business questions.

This is an individual contributor role on the core corporate finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance – Budget and Cost Management, in a lean team at a fast-growing global AI and Agentic Tools company. You'll manage the finance system operations, support the monthly forecast, track the close cycle, and shadow the team to take on more data systems and analytic projects.

What You'll Do:

Systems Design & EnhancementServe as the primary system designer for Abacum — maintaining system health, performance, dimensions, hierarchies, and configuration across planning, consolidation, allocation, and reporting.Manage finance applications, data, user access and security, system configuration, and version management to ensure appropriate controls and governance.Design, build, and maintain financial models, workflows, calculation logic, and rules engines in Abacum to support planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and allocation.Build and maintain ThoughtSpot finance Liveboards, keeping both reliably available for finance users.Identify and share best practices in using AI-first reporting and planning tools.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for finance and cost center users — resolving issues and answering system questions as the finance-side owner.Keep definitions, semantics, and hierarchies aligned across the stack so your systems are the source of truth for financial data and internally consistent.Own the enhancement roadmap — scope new capabilities, configure, test, manage releases, and work the vendor relationship.Data Management & QualityOwn the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the stack.Build and maintain validation rules, reconciliation controls, and quality checks between source systems and Abacum and ThoughtSpot data models.Troubleshoot data discrepancies and drive them to resolution with the relevant teams.Support data migration and transformation work as the stack evolves.Treat data quality as a trust problem rather than a compliance one: numbers should reach the business without caveats attached.Business Partnership & Process ImprovementSupport the monthly forecast, annual and long-range planning, workforce planning, and OPEX forecasting cycles as part of a cross-trained team where close and forecast responsibilities are shared.Apply LLMs and agent-based tools to automate recurring FP&A work — variance commentary, consolidation narratives, reconciliation checks, and reporting workflows. Build and maintain the workflow, then review the output and own the exceptions it flags.Drive adoption — onboard new cost center owners, build enablement material, run office hours, and track whether people actually use the tool or route around it into Excel.Test and validate system changes before release, and identify platform and process improvements on your own initiative.

What You Bring:3+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or finance systems, including hands-on ownership of a financial planning platform.Hands-on administration and build experience in a modern FP&A platform — Abacum, Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Planful, or similar. Configuration, data modeling, and workflow build, not end-user reporting alone.Experience with integrations and dataflows between finance platforms and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data warehouse)Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into system specifications and designs.Experience building dashboards or reporting layers (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or similar) with real users on the other end.Demonstrated use of AI tools or agents to automate finance work — with a specific example you can walk through that you helped build.Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems, Economics, or a STEM field.Experience working across multiple time zones with globally distributed teams.
