FINANCE EXECUTIVE

Role Description

The accountant is responsible for working closely with external partners, building strong relationships and rapport by providing high levels of service.  Will work independently and with internal teams to remove obstacles within the collection and payment cycle.  Develop an understanding of multiple brands and moderately complex business models to provide top notch support to partners.  Perform accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.  Position is responsible for accounting for our international business including the creation of monthly journal entries and financial reports.

Roles And Responsibilities

Weekly communication with external partners Research and resolve issues associated with billing & receivables on a timely basis Identify areas of opportunity/weakness and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency in a controlled environment Maintain high level of productivity Follow up on all outstanding issues on a timely basis Ensure adherence to departmental standards and controls Comply with ethical and legal standards Assist with special projects and departmental goals Ensure that all month-end accounting is performed in a timely and accurate manner with a high level of attention to detail Prepare manual journal entries to the general ledger Prepare month end account reconciliations Prepare weekly statement of account Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 2- 4 years of post-Qualification experience. Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize in a changing, fast paced team environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and follow-up skills Ability to recognize problems and take appropriate action Advanced PC proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint SAP or People Soft experience preferred
