F5 - Director of Software Engineering

Description :

The role requires a strategic leader who can collaborate with business stakeholders, mentor engineering managers, and build scalable, high-performing engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage multiple software engineering teams across product development, platform engineering, and application modernization initiatives.

- Define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business goals and organizational vision.

- Drive end-to-end software development lifecycle including architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications and cloud-native solutions.

- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, Security, and Business teams for successful product delivery.

- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and quality assurance processes.

- Lead engineering transformation initiatives including Agile, DevOps, Automation, and Microservices adoption.

- Ensure timely project delivery with focus on quality, scalability, reliability, and customer experience.

- Manage engineering budgets, resource planning, hiring, and vendor coordination.

- Mentor Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and Senior Developers to build strong leadership pipelines.

- Drive innovation through adoption of emerging technologies, AI/ML capabilities, and modern engineering frameworks.

- Monitor engineering KPIs, system performance, productivity metrics, and operational excellence.

- Participate in executive-level discussions related to technology roadmap and digital transformation.
