Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees in compliance with Indian statutory regulations. The role will be responsible for accurate salary processing, statutory deductions, payroll records, employee queries, and payroll-related reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees.
Collect, verify, and maintain payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, bonuses, deductions, and new joiners/exits.
Calculate salaries, statutory deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll components accurately.
Ensure compliance with Indian payroll statutory requirements, including:
Provident Fund (PF)
Employee State Insurance (ESI)
Professional Tax (PT)
Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), wherever applicable
TDS on salaries and Form 16
Prepare and verify monthly payroll reports and salary statements.
Coordinate with Finance and HR teams for payroll accounting and salary disbursement.
Handle full-and-final settlements for resigned/terminated employees.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation.
Respond to employee queries related to salary, deductions, tax, PF, ESI, and other payroll matters.
Assist with payroll audits and provide required reports and supporting documents.
Stay updated on changes in Indian payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Ensure confidentiality and security of employee payroll information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in Indian payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of Indian payroll and statutory compliance.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data reconciliation.
Experience with payroll software/HRMS such as SAP, Zoho Payroll, GreytHR, Keka, Darwinbox, or similar systems.
Good understanding of salary structures, CTC, gross salary, deductions, and net pay.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.

Payroll accuracy and timely processing.
Timely completion of statutory payments and filings.
Accuracy of payroll reports and reconciliations.
Resolution time for employee payroll queries.
Compliance with applicable payroll regulations.
