Excellence Manager

Manager - Group COE

Role Purpose

Deployment of Strategy & Transformation, Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives across corporate/enabling Functions like Finance, Strategy, SCM, Commercial, Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management.

The role will act as an Excellence Business Partner (EBP), facilitating the institutionalization of Enterprise Excellence frameworks, Daily Work Management (DWM), KPI deployment, process optimization and capability building, while ensuring measurable business impact and sustainable performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Excellence Deployment

Lead deployment of Enterprise Excellence, TQM, TPM, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives across corporate and enabling functions.

Facilitate baseline assessments, maturity evaluations, and improvement roadmaps.

Drive implementation of Excellence frameworks and governance mechanisms.

Support preparation & facilitation of external Business excellence assessments.

Strategy Management & Performance Excellence

Facilitate development and deployment of Mission, Vision, Goals, KPIs, Lead Indicators and Tier Structures.

Support strategy deployment through Hoshin Kanri, GRADER, PDCA and Daily Work Management methodologies.

Drive alignment between organizational strategy, functional objectives, and individual performance measures.

Track strategic initiatives and review effectiveness through governance reviews.

Partner with Functions such as:

Identify improvement opportunities and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving.

Implement process excellence initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, governance and compliance effectiveness.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Lead 5S, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and process improvement projects.

Facilitate process mapping, value stream analysis, root cause analysis and problem-solving workshops.

Track realization of business benefits including productivity, cost optimization, cycle-time reduction and quality improvement.

Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making and operational governance

Capability Building & Change Management

Conduct training and awareness sessions on Enterprise Excellence, Strategy Management, DWM, KPI deployment and problem solving.

Coach functional leaders and teams on excellence methodologies.

Develop excellence champions and ambassadors across group companies.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement.

Governance & Analytics

Monitor functional KPI performance and lead indicator effectiveness.

Develop dashboards, scorecards and management review mechanisms.

Ensure action plans are tracked and reviewed through structured governance.

Present progress and insights to senior leadership teams.

Educational Qualifications

MBA / CA / CMA / ICWA

Master's Degree in Finance, Strategy, Operations, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering

Experience

Essential

10+ years of experience in:

Preferred

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing or consulting organizations.

Hands-on experience in Enterprise Excellence deployment.

Exposure to Finance, Corporate Strategy, Risk, Compliance or Shared Services functions.
