Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and tender submissions.The candidate will work closely with the design, procurement, project execution, and business development teams to ensure accurate and commercially viable project estimates.Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

Review architectural, interior, joinery, kitchen, wardrobe, furniture, and fit-out drawings for estimation purposes.

Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and material requirement analysis.

Prepare rate analysis for materials, labour, manufacturing, installation, and subcontracted works.

Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Compare vendor quotations and support commercial negotiations to arrive at competitive rates.

Prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, and tender submissions.

Coordinate with design, procurement, project execution, and business development teams for project requirements and costing.

Identify cost variations, exclusions, assumptions, and potential commercial risks during the estimation stage.

Support value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs without compromising quality and design intent.

Maintain and update rate databases, material costs, vendor rates, and historical project costing data.

Assist in preparing project budgets and monitor estimated versus actual costs where required.

Ensure proper documentation and handover of estimation details to the project execution and procurement teams.

Participate in client/vendor discussions related to scope, quantities, specifications, and commercial requirements.

Candidate Profile

57 years of relevant experience in estimation and costing within interior fit-outs, furnishing, joinery, furniture, modular kitchens, wardrobes, or related industries.

Strong practical knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, rate analysis, and project costing.

Good understanding of interior materials, manufacturing processes, and installation practices.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, joinery, furniture, and MEP-related drawings as required for estimation.

Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; experience with estimation/costing software will be an advantage.

Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail.

Good commercial understanding and ability to evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations.

Strong coordination and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple estimates/tenders and meet tight submission deadlines.

Candidates from interior contracting, joinery, furniture manufacturing, modular kitchen/wardrobe, or turnkey interior project backgrounds will be preferred.
