EPM Architect

DescriptionAbout the Company/TeamJoin a team focused on delivering enterprise-scale Oracle EPM solutions that enable Finance organizations to improve planning, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and performance management.The team partners closely with Finance, IT, enterprise architecture, and implementation stakeholders to design scalable and maintainable Oracle EPM Cloud landscapes. The focus is on applying Oracle-recommended practices, strong architectural governance, automation, integration, and performance optimization to solve complex business challenges.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end architecture and solution design of enterprise-scale Oracle EPM Cloud implementations, with primary expertise in Enterprise Planning/EPBCS and/or FCCS.Partner with Finance, IT, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders to translate planning, forecasting, consolidation, close, and reporting requirements into robust EPM solution architectures.Design the broader EPM application ecosystem, covering application and dimensional architecture, calculations, security, reporting, integrations, automation, metadata, and data flows.Architect integrations between Oracle EPM Cloud and Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM and other enterprise systems using Data Integration, Integration Agent, Pipelines, REST APIs, EPM Automate, Groovy, and related technologies.Drive workload and performance management across calculations, data loads, integrations, job scheduling, concurrency, reporting workloads, and application design.Serve as the solution design authority by evaluating requirements, challenging designs when appropriate, explaining architectural trade-offs and risks, and promoting Oracle-recommended practices.Lead architecture workshops, solution assessments, design reviews, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), performance reviews, and technical troubleshooting while establishing reusable architecture and implementation standards.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to EPM consultants and developers while staying current with Oracle EPM Cloud capabilities, quarterly updates, and evolving implementation practices.ResponsibilitiesQualifications & SkillsMandatory10+ years of EPM experience, including significant hands-on experience implementing Oracle EPM Cloud solutions.Demonstrated experience working as an EPM Solution Architect, Application Architect, or equivalent design authority on complex enterprise implementations.Architect-level expertise in at least one of:Oracle Enterprise Planning / EPBCSOracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)Experience delivering at least three end-to-end EPM implementations, covering architecture/design, build, integrations, testing, deployment, and production transition.Strong Finance domain knowledge covering areas such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, Workforce and Capex Planning, Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, management reporting, and/or financial consolidation and close.Strong understanding of Oracle EPM application architecture, including dimensions, hierarchies, cubes, calculations, Groovy, security, reporting, and performance optimization.Strong knowledge of EPM integration and automation technologies, including Data Integration, Integration Agent, Pipelines, REST APIs, EPM Automate, and Groovy, with experience integrating Oracle Fusion and/or other enterprise systems.Strong understanding of EPM workload and performance management, including calculations, data loads, integrations, scheduling, concurrency, reporting workloads, and dimensional design.Working knowledge of the broader Oracle EPM Cloud landscape, including capabilities such as ARCS, EDMCS, EPCM/PCMCS, and Narrative Reporting.Hands-on understanding of scripting and automation technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Shell, or Batch scripting.Ability to evaluate architecture options and clearly articulate design decisions, trade-offs, risks, performance implications, scalability, and maintainability.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, consulting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and architecture discussions involving Finance, IT, enterprise architecture, integration teams, and customer leadership.BE, BTech, MCA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent relevant education and professional experience.Good-to-HaveExperience architecting multi-application Oracle EPM Cloud landscapes and enterprise integrations with Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM.Knowledge of EDMCS, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Essbase 19c/21c, Hybrid BSO/ASO, and multidimensional database concepts.Experience designing large-scale EPM solutions involving high data volumes, complex organizational structures, multiple currencies, and complex business processes.Experience conducting architecture assessments, application health checks, performance reviews, and solution modernization initiatives.Experience leading architecture workshops, design reviews, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).Experience mentoring EPM consultants, developers, and technical teams.Understanding of EPM Cloud operational processes, including migrations, quarterly updates, production support, Service Requests (SRs), RFCs, and My Oracle Support.Relevant Oracle EPM Cloud certifications.Strong consulting and executive communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architecture topics and guide stakeholders toward appropriate solution
