Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.

Own backend projects and initiatives end-to-end, from technical design through development, deployment, and production support.

Lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices across the team.

Design and implement robust APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Contribute to system architecture, technical decision-making, and scalability initiatives.

Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and availability challenges in backend systems.

Work closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Review code, improve engineering standards, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and evolving requirements.

Take strong ownership of technical outcomes and maintain a high bar for engineering quality.

Requirements:

8+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development.

At least 1 year of leadership experience, such as technical leadership, project leadership, or team management.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot mandatory.

Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, APIs, and databases.

Experience building production-grade backend applications and services.

Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive projects and outcomes independently.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Nice to Have:

Experience managing direct reports and demonstrated people management experience.
