About the team
The Platform & Infrastructure Engineering team owns the foundational estate that everything else runs on. The team designs, builds, automates, and operates scalable cloud-native systems across networks, security, data & storage, and compute. It carries significant regulatory and operational responsibility, with its platforms directly underpinning critical customer-facing systems.
About the role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Infrastructure team who can lead & scale critical infrastructure functions across Network, Security, DevSecOps and build a highly scalable, secure and reliable foundation.
What You will do
Own the architecture and evolution of slice's cloud security and hybrid network infrastructure Lead, hire and scale the network & security team. Drive infrastructure-as-code and platform automation. Lead cloud networking, cloud interconnects, hybrid connectivity, and network security. Design highly available and secure network architectures across regions, environments, and critical workloads. Drive security by design across infrastructure and developer workflows. Establish guardrails that prevent insecure infrastructure from reaching production. Own infrastructure security controls across IAM, Identity Center, encryption, key management, secrets and workload security. Build and scale DevSecOps practices, integrating security controls into CI/CD and infrastructure lifecycle. Partner with Cybersecurity/AppSec/GRC/SOC teams to close security and compliance gaps. Ensure security controls are measurable, auditable, and continuously improved. Partner with engineering teams to ensure the runtime platform can support rapid product scale Define and drive SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and reliability metrics. Lead initiatives around availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and incident management. Improve the organization's ability to detect, diagnose, and recover infrastructure failures.
What You will need
2+ years of experience managing and building high-performing engineering teams. Deep expertise in cloud and data-center networking, connectivity and network security. Strong understanding of IAM, SSO, PAM, secrets management, encryption and security architecture. Experience with firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, and cloud security controls. Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code. Strong SRE fundamentals covering reliability, observability, incident management, DR, and capacity planning. Experience designing infrastructure for high-scale, highly available, and regulated environments. Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems. Ability to balance security, reliability, scalability, engineering velocity, and cost. Experience in fintech, banking, or other highly regulated environments. Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud environments.
