Full job description
Key Responsibilities
Actively participate in the design, development, and testing of reference application processor firmware.
Develop, test, and debug low-level software across various platforms, including software models, development boards, and production systems.
Create software stacks for Arm's reference platforms targeting future Arm-based devices.
Develop and maintain test code.
Build automation solutions to streamline development and testing activities.
Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and contribute to project planning and execution.
Support software upstreaming activities and ongoing maintenance.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong C/C++ programming skills, with the ability to implement new functionality, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
Knowledge of assembly programming and strong debugging skills is preferred.
Experience in software development and/or software testing.
Strong understanding of system architecture (preferably Arm architecture), operating system fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems; driver development experience is preferred.
Good understanding of testing methodologies, CI/CD practices, and test automation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal English proficiency.
Nice to Have
Experience with Python programming and shell scripting.
Basic understanding of the Linux kernel, system software, device drivers, and Android internals.
Familiarity with open-source development processes and contribution workflows.
Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, and optimization.
Firmware verification and validation experience.
Knowledge of software testing techniques, CI pipelines, and automated test frameworks.
Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) practices.
Familiarity with Agile and other software development methodologies.
