Full job description

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Data Engineering exposure who has hands-on experience in backend development, distributed data processing, and building scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming and problem-solving skills, along with practical experience in Java, Scala, or Kotlin and Spark/PySpark.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.

Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark / PySpark.

Develop high-quality, production-ready code using Java, Scala, or Kotlin.

Work on large-scale data processing and distributed computing systems.

Integrate backend services with data processing workflows and other systems.

Optimise application and data-processing performance.

Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Follow best practices for coding, testing, code reviews, and system design.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on programming experience in Java OR Scala OR Kotlin.

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.

Strong coding and problem-solving skills.

Solid backend development experience.

Practical exposure to data engineering/data processing.

Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
