Deal Desk Program Manager – Position Summary
As a Deal Desk Program Manager in our Solutions Services Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and governance across the Services Solutions Deal Desk function. This position is responsible for managing Change Request (CR) governance arising from customer requirements, solution scope modifications, and contractual changes, ensuring effective intake management, stakeholder alignment, impact assessment, and routing through appropriate approval paths in accordance with established governance frameworks and SSG Delegation of Authority (DOA). The role is also responsible for leading the Deal Desk Business Management System (BMS), including strategic projects, reporting and visualization, compliance monitoring, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives that enable efficient deal execution, governance adherence, and operational success of the team. The ideal candidate combines strong program management, business acumen, governance expertise, and stakeholder management skills to drive scalable, compliant, and efficient business operations.
Responsibilities
Program Governance Execution
Manage the intake, assessment, tracking, and governance of Change Requests (CRs) arising from solution scope modifications, customer requirements, and contractual changes, ensuring requests are routed through the appropriate approval and governance paths in accordance with SSG Delegation of Authority (DOA) and established governance frameworks.
Coordinate the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of Deal Desk programs, frameworks, and operating models across geographies and service lines.
Drive alignment between Sales, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Delivery teams to ensure standardized, scalable deal governance processes.
Establish program BMS, KPI reporting and dashboards, deliver insights and manage cadence to support Deal Desk efficiency, throughput, and impact.
Provide regular recommendations based on data driven insights, and collaborate with key stakeholders to realize proposed solutions and efficiencies.
Execute a regular audit program to monitor compliance across the deal flow, driving improvement in overall compliance and recovery plans where required.
Process Optimization Enablement
Identify bottlenecks in the deal lifecycle and implement automation, playbooks, or tools.
Partner with enablement and operations teams to embed new processes, policies, and tools.
Manage change initiatives and ensure adoption of Deal Desk standards and best practices globally.
Stakeholder Engagement Communication
Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and Leadership on deal governance, change management, and process design.
Communicate program goals, status, and outcomes across regions and functions, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure a seamless deal experience for stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in business, finance or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
Proven experience in Deal Desk, sales operations, program management, contract governance, change management, or related roles within a services organization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data driven recommendations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and Codata.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a global team which may require engaging across distances, cultures, and time zones in a matrix organizational structure.
Ability to balance commercial agility with governance rigor.
3-8 years of progressive broad-based program management, information technology and business experience.
