Full job description
Hello Visionary!
We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly evolving digital world. We're looking for curious minds who are passionate about building and operating scalable cloud platforms, enabling reliable data solutions, and driving automation across modern cloud environments. If you enjoy solving operational challenges, improving platform reliability, and creating automation that makes a real impact, you might be the perfect fit for our team.
We are looking for a Platform Ops Developer.
You'll make a difference by:
Developing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing automation for cloud data-platform operations, deployments, monitoring, and recurring maintenance activities.Operating and improving production infrastructure for data-processing workloads on AWS, including Kubernetes/EKS, EMR on EKS, S3, IAM, networking, and related cloud-native services.Building operational tools, frameworks, and scripts that reduce manual effort, improve repeatability, and increase reliability across environments.Designing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for platform services, data-processing components, and operational automation.Driving cost optimization initiatives through workload scheduling, idle-resource detection, resource lifecycle automation, node consolidation, and safe cleanup of unused cloud resources.Enhancing platform observability by defining metrics, alerts, dashboards, operational checks, and runbooks for data platforms, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.Supporting incident management activities including root-cause analysis, release validation, environment readiness, operational audits, and continuous process improvements.Collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and DevOps/SRE teams to ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, compliant, and highly available.Participating actively in design discussions, technical reviews, operational excellence initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration forums.
You'll win us over by:
Holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Having 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software Development, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, Automation Engineering, or a similar role.Demonstrating strong programming skills in Python and experience building maintainable automation scripts, tools, and operational services.Possessing hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and production cloud operations.Having practical experience with services such as EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, EMR, Athena, Glue, or similar AWS technologies.Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CDK, or similar IaC frameworks.Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using modern Git-based workflows and automation practices.Understanding operational excellence practices including monitoring, alerting, logging, incident management, runbooks, and automation-first problem solving.Having strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across cloud infrastructure, platform services, and deployment pipelines.Demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to convert recurring operational challenges into scalable technical solutions and automation opportunities.
You'll stand out if you have:
Experience working with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud-native platform architectures.Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational best practices.Experience supporting large-scale data platforms, analytics environments, or data-processing workloads.Knowledge of AWS cost optimization, resource governance, and cloud security best practices.Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools, observability platforms, and centralized logging solutions.Experience working with Apache Spark, EMR, or distributed data-processing frameworks.Exposure to platform engineering concepts and self-service infrastructure enablement.Understanding of security, compliance, identity management, and governance in cloud environments.Experience collaborating within Agile product teams and cross-functional engineering organizations.
We'll support you with:
Flexible and hybrid working opportunities.A diverse, inclusive, and collaborative culture.Continuous learning and development opportunities.Access to cutting-edge cloud and platform engineering technologies. An attractive and competitive compensation package.
