Responsibilities:
Own and drive the technical roadmap for the Data Engineering team with quarterly planning and delivery ownership.
Architect and build scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure aligned with modern engineering principles.
Design and implement robust data warehouses and define scalable data strategies for SaaS products.
Execute product plans with a strong focus on delivery quality, timelines, and reliability.
Define team goals and guide execution to achieve measurable business outcomes.
Lead technical discussions and make critical architecture and design decisions.
Mentor engineers and support their technical and career growth.
Set clear career paths and build a high-performing engineering culture.
Collaborate closely with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the data platform roadmap.
Ensure long-term platform scalability while balancing short-term business priorities.
Requirements:
8 - 12 years of software development experience.
Minimum 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
Strong system design and architecture skills with large-scale web services exposure.
Hands-on experience building backend systems and data pipelines.
Strong experience with cloud-native systems, especially Amazon Web Services.
Experience designing and managing data warehouses.
Strong understanding of data strategy for SaaS products.
Ability to drive technical discussions and influence engineering decisions.
