Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Product Control team to work with key managers with subject matter expertise to gain a broad understanding of State Street’s Portfolio and FX businesses including verifying the accuracy and integrity of the fair value of financial assets through the Independent Price Verification (IPV) process, month end and quarter end close for these products.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Assist with IPV validation and re-pricing of securitiesPerform and prepare various back-testing and analytical reportsAssist in Product Control verifying market rates and closing prices, including off-market reportingUtilize key analytical tools to conduct verification analysis (i.e. Bloomberg and Reuters)Work with internal partners (middle office, front office, and CMA) and external vendors to investigate pricing variancesAssist in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) coordination and testingAssist in other projects as directed by managerMonthly close activities for FX and Investment Portfolio
Qualifications And Skills Required
MBA/CA or Equivalent Accounting Degree with 3+ years of core experience in Valuation and IPVIFRS and US GAAP related knowledge is preferredSecurities knowledge preferredBloomberg/ Reuter’s experience preferredStrong analytical and excel skills requiredGood communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to develop process mapsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Words)Direct experience with Product Control/Market knowledge preferredExceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skillsHigh level of interpersonal skills and integrityAbility to coordinate and communicate across multiple levels of managementComplex problem solving expertiseDeadline focused with ability to adapt under pressureHigh degree of attention to detail and focus on error-free execution
