A cash operations manager at a financial markets infrastructure company manages cash management, cash application, and treasury operations across global finance teams. The role oversees Oracle Fusion, SAP, and Power BI workflows, bank reconciliations, and payment approvals while leading accounting operations.
Full job description
This team member will report to the Global Cash application Manager. Responsible for leading various Cash application, Cash operations and Cash accounting / Reconciliation activities within the LSEG Finance Services Operations function. The role is focused on various duties including liquidity management of Group bank accounts via settlement of intercompany invoices, coordination, and/or approval of internal and external payments, support other functions in LSEG by responding to audit queries, payment queries etc. across the regions working with leads. LSEG being a dynamic and evolving organization, with the opportunity to support projects and adhoc activities, as required by the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Efficient daily cash management and cash positioning, working closely with Finance Services Operations and other key collaborators.
Efficient and timely payment approvals in the banking platform used by LSEG in the different regions.
Ensure compliance with controls and processes
Ensure all entries are accurately posted by team in the financial accounting system promptly, to assist with the swift reconciliation of bank statements.
Improve auto matching capabilities for robust cash application for real time cash reporting. Implement AI Cash tool with Oracle Fusion to increase auto matching rates.
Lead talent in an open environment! Promote diversity through active team engagement. Develop team to improve on timelier and effective critical issues, to be initiative-taking, problem solvers.
Monitor Daily Statement Uploads into SAP / Oracle are complete.
Prepare GL journal files for Fin Rep to review, load and approve/post.
Leading bank migrations project & new initiatives globally working with Treasury & Other key partners
Follow up on unresolved postings from AP, Treasury, GA & Credit Control
Leading Direct Debit Process across banks
Support the finance teams where volumes are high/resolution complex to ensure group important metric targets and management reporting goals are met.
Ad hoc reporting and requests from Group and/or local finance as require
Essential Skills:
Good understanding of controls related to activities performed.
Technical skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint & Power BI tool.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, critical thinking, and social skills.
Good teammate and collaborative within the team and with other collaborators within the business.
Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing activities in a demanding environment,
Oracle, SAP, Black line, AI - tools knowledge desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor/Master/MBA degree in finance, accounting, business work experience.
10 to 12 years work experience in – AR / AP / R2R
Cash Application / Treasury or banking field preferred.
Managed AR / AP and R2R teams in a large organization.
Understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
Knowledge and experience of reconciliation processes and implementation of financial controls in operation
