The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets, leveraging dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, photo-realistic video see-through (for immersive mixed reality), as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection.

Responsibilities

The job responsibilities may include a subset of the following:

Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement for Mixed-reality platforms & AI-camera/video capabilities on mobile & smart glasses Prototype solutions on mobile/XR platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes Developing and/or Optimizing image processing and computer vision algorithms for HW acceleration Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors + 3yrs relevant experience, Master's + 2 yrs relevant experience or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or closely related field Background in digital signal & image processing, image quality tuning Background in CMOS sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processing Background in multi-camera system design including at least one of following subjects: temporal synchronization, image fusion, depth estimation, dual-camera calibration Working knowledge with C, C++, Matlab, Python

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years working experience in signal/image processing and/or computer vision Experience in XR related imaging/perception problems, and/or automotive perception is desired Working knowledge & experience with modern machine learning techniques Academic publications in image processing & computer vision research at top conferences and journals

Educational Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s in Computer science or Electrical & Computer Engineering

Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer science or Electrical & Computer Engineering
