Responsibilities / Tasks
Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimising costsTake ownership of material planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect productionAssess volume requirements against planning assumptionsSeek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements.Implement flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvements and add valueSupport continuous improvement initiativesEnsure that professional and consistent materials planning processes are applied across the businessEnsure that any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) in place is effective and that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as requiredInvestigate and implement system enhancement initiativesEnsure the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and inventory accuracy at all times and manage and control inventory levels and movementsEnsure that the operational information, reports and metrics are available to share with others in the business as and when requiredReport on achievement of targets and identify any corrective action
Your Profile / Qualifications
Qualification
BE in Mechanical Engineering and must worked with Mfg. of engineering components / OEMs.
Job Requirements
Min. 5-8 years of experience in handling Material planningTrained on basic lean concepts would be added advantage.Solid understanding of Procurement, Planning and inventory management software SAP (SAP MM Module).Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
