Meta's Care Engineering Team is responsible for building integrated, scalable, and robust enterprise applications. As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in re-imagining productivity by shipping transformative products that serve Meta’s Customers and employees.

Application Engineer - Salesforce Responsibilities:

Work with product managers to drive strategic value through custom applications built on Salesforce, as well as internal software systemsTechnical ownership of projects and featuresDesign highly available, scalable, and secure systemsComply with change management policies to ensure data integrity and system stabilityBuild interfaces for complex systems and high-quality tools

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience6+ years of experience developing business applications in Salesforce6+ years of experience developing business applications in PHP, Java, C++, Python, or similar6+ years of experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs like SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, the Bulk API, and the Metadata API4+ years of experience in Lightning Web Components/Apex incorporating JS frameworks like React, Bootstrap or Angular

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Experience with data management: structured and unstructured DBs, SQL and RDBMS technologies, SOA design principlesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Experience in understanding code bases, including API design techniquesExperience building and supporting production quality software outside of SalesforceExperience in handling volumes of data, performance tuningKnowledge in UI/UX, which can be reflected in your workDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
