Role OverviewWe are looking for an Accountant to manage day-to-day finance operations for our India entity while supporting group-level reporting and compliance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, can independently own financial processes, and is ready to build and mentor a small finance team as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Operations & Accountinga. Own end-to-end accounting operations for the India entity, including AP/AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger managementb. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual book closuresc. Manage statutory compliance — GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and other applicable Indian regulatory filingsd. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies

Reporting & Analysisa. Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow statements, and budget vs. actual analysisb. Prepare group-level consolidation and reporting requirements across Valeo Health entitiesc. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-makingd. 4-5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience

Compliance & Controlsa. Ensure adherence to Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and statutory requirements & IFRSb. Establish and maintain internal financial controls and SOPsc. Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities

Team & Stakeholder Managementa. Lead and mentor junior finance/accounting team membersb. Partner with People/HR, Operations, and Leadership on budgeting, payroll finance inputs, and vendor paymentsc. Liaise with the broader Valeo Health finance function (including ADGM entity finance) for cross-entity coordination

Requirementsa. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce; semi- qualified CA / M.com preferredb. 4-6 years of progressive finance/accounting experiencec. Strong working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, corporate tax)d. Prior experience in a start-up or fast-growth environment strongly preferrede. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books) and MS Excel/Google Sheetsf. Health tech, healthcare, or regulated-industry experience is a plusg. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-border/multi-entity teams
