Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counselor will guide learners and parents through course selections, helping them understand BrightCHAMPS programs and how they align with each child’s interests, strengths, and long-term goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, providing academic and career guidance, addressing student and parent queries, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress. The role involves collaborating with educators and internal teams to support student engagement, retention, and overall learning outcomes. Academic Counselors are expected to use data and feedback to refine advising approaches and contribute to continuous improvement of student support processes.

QualificationsCandidates should possess strong student counseling and academic advising skills to guide learners effectively.Candidates should possess excellent communication skills to interact clearly and empathetically with students, parents, and colleagues.Candidates should possess career counseling and education-related skills to support learners in planning their academic and future pathways.Relevant experience in academic counseling, student support, or education services, preferably in an edtech or school/college environment.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple cases, and use digital tools/CRM systems for tracking student interactions.Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a learner-centric mindset committed to inclusive and equitable guidance.
