Technical Lead Product Systems Engineering

Position Summary

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment.

As a System Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation of Advance Safety and User Experience products.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the products and technology meet customer and regulatory requirements. You will manage customer communication, requirements, and expectations throughout the product development lifecycle.

Your Role

Design, develop, and validate new products and technologyEnsure that system features and deliverables are completed on time per Aptiv quality standards Follow APTIV design standards, guidelines, best practices, procedures and policiesLead feature definition and requirement reviews Ensure the logical and systematic transformation of requirements into a total system solutionContribute to requirement analysis, system architecture, and feature integration / verificationConvert customer requirements into product requirements and design specificationEnsure proper development, execution and verification across all engineering competenciesResponsible to lead technical discussions, design reviews and customer presentationsDevelop innovative and creative solutions to unique engineering challengesManage and track system features to ensure high quality delivery on-timeDrive process, procedure, and methodology improvements to optimize and continuously improve work efficiency

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field of study)5+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive IndustryInterpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challengeCross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguityAbility to effectively manage several projects at onceStrong soft skills: skilled networking creation, influencing skills, constantly learning, positive and ownership profileFamiliarity with Functional Safety or Cybersecurity knowledge/backgroundFamiliarity with system development processes (Automotive SPICE) and tools Experience with vehicle protocols and diagnosticsExperience with embedded hardware and serial communication toolsSystem Architecture knowledge.Familiarity with ADAS ECU, Body Control Modules or similar.Gather, analyze, and document business, customer, and system requirements, translating them into clear, testable specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Hardware, Software, and Validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle. Drive requirements review, change management, traceability, and impact analysis.Experience with vehicle communication protocols and diagnostics (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, etc.).

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

Master’s degree in engineering discipline (computer science, software, electrical, or related field of study)Experience with low level drivers - SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet driversExperience working on global projectExperience working in an agile development team and with agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
