This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:
This role is part of a talent pool for professionals with experience as a Hardware Design Engineer. You will act as a design authority for low to medium complexity engineering assignments. You will contribute to proposal, design, and execution phases of automation projects, applying design-for-excellence principles to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions. While there may not be an immediate opening, we are actively building a pipeline of qualified Hardware Design Engineers for future opportunities within our Process Automation business.
The work model for the role is:
You will be mainly accountable for:
Reviewing customer technical specifications and design DCS cabinets; develop and verify hardware deliverables including system architecture, BOMs, GA drawings, and schematics.Applying standard engineering practices, guidelines, and checklists to ensure design quality, compliance, and consistency.Supporting proposal and project engineering by identifying technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.Providing technical support during factory testing, installation, commissioning, and site acceptance activities.Contributing to FEED, detailed design, and execution of ICSS and PPM systems, including work on ABB 800xA platforms (power, grounding, field cabling, and IO wiring).
Qualifications for the role:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering from a reputed university (should be full-time)5–15 years of relevant experience in hardware design or automation engineering and supporting automation proposals (DCS, ESD, FGS).Exposure to industries such as Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Power, or Water.Experience in Preparation of deliverables - System Architecture, Bill of materials, General Arrangement Drawings, Schematic etc. system hardware, cabinet design, and engineering documentation.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and project-based environments.
