As a Staff Software Engineer at Commonwealth Bank, you will define and facilitate delivery of technology solutions against the group’s architecture strategy, including design and uplift of our system architectures. We strive for simple, intuitive, scalable and robust solutions, delivering the best experience for our customers and staff. Your role will prove critical in helping our business stakeholders and delivery teams understand how to execute their portfolio of work in alignment with the group strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Expert-level technical skills with proven ability to architect and deliver complex systems at scale. Have solid experience in the full software development lifecycle using Agile practices and DevSecOpsHave expertise designing and building Core and Web API’s, web applications and running independent PoC’sCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical goals with business objectives and contribute to the company's technical strategySolve technical problems with innovative solutions, optimizing applications for performance and scalabilityTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues promptlyCollaborate with development teams to identify potential issues in early in the development cycleImplement automation frameworks in creating APIs, data pipelines, and UI components.Required to maintain and build excellent relationships with associates and stakeholders, as well as actively contribute to team culture and uphold groups core valuesAdhere to the Code of Conduct. Essential skills:

Minimum 10-14 Years of Experience in Full stack development: Strong expertise in C#, .Net Core, Next.js / React.js, Typescript, Node.js, Python (Mandatory)Experience building scalable, high-performance and secure APIs (Mandatory)Database: Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL DBs (AWS Document DB)Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and JenkinsAI & GenAI Tools: Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot, Cline, Roocode and AWS BedrockSecure Engineering & DevSecOps: Deep understanding of security principles, DevSecOps, and SRE practicesMonitoring & Observability: Familiar with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Observe and AWS CloudWatch

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
