The role

Staff senior Staff Engineer applications role in semiconductor manufacturing, Infineon Technologies; develop and support embedded firmware and demonstrators for PSOC, Traveo, and Aurix while mentoring junior engineers and leading customer technical discussions. Requires embedded C, microcontroller blocks/IP, and communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, and CXPI, plus debugging with an oscilloscope and multimeters and protocol sniffers. Role is located in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, India with international travel required at least once per year for about two weeks.

Code example development for PSOC, Traveo, Aurix.Demonstrator development for PSOC, Traveo, Aurix.Complex customer issue support for PSOC, Traveo, Aurix.Mentoring Junior engineers on complex customer issues.Interacting with cross functional teams to own and solve a customer issue.Training Field applications engineers on the advanced topicsLeading discussions in customer calls.10% time in customer visits to present technical topics.International travel required at least once in a year for about two weeks.Documentation support (Application notes, technical reference manual, datasheet updates or new documents) for all the product families.

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

B.E. /B. Tech in ECE degree with 10-12 years experience in embedded firmware development and customer support. Able to understand Schematics, Layout of the PCBs. Proficient in embedded C programming. In-depth knowledge on blocks of microcontrollers up to IP level and the communication protocols - I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, CXPI etc. Should be comfortable in debugging complex customer issues using Oscilloscope, multimeters and other protocol sniffers which might take months to solve. Customer support experience is plus. Should have excellent business communication skills.
