Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

Impact &contribution: The Group Fraud Technology team is part of the Group Operations Technology and is responsible for delivering project and platform enhancements and assessments relating to Group Fraud Management Platform. Our main clients are Group Fraud Management Services.

Roles & responsibilities:

Software Development Lifecycle: Strong understanding and application of software delivery lifecycle principles, including design, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation.Software Data Analysis: Proficiency with analysing business objectives and translating requirements to technical implementation components.Mentoring: Ability to mentor and provide technical assistance to team membersImplement Best Practice: Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices.Engineering and Strategy: Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team and platform.Software Problem Management: Lead Level 3 or above support and technical troubleshooting activity.

Essential skills:

Absolutely hands-on programming experience of 8+ years in Ab Initio.Software Development and Deployment: Experience in developing and deploying high quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.Programming/Software Development: Experience in designing and building programs or application features meeting business objectives and requirements.Experience with estimating development effort for new featuresIndustry knowledge of Banking.Good experience in Ab-initio related products, shell scriptingAb initio background with both Batch and continuous flows is highly regarded.Solid understanding of Linux environments; strong knowledge of shell scripting and file systemsExperience with data aggregation, standardization, linking, quality check mechanisms, and reportingExperience with RDBMS (Oracle) and using SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.Experience with source control systems (GitHub) and with CI/CD tool

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
