Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer focused on Developer Productivity and DevEx, you will take a lead execution and component design role in building, scaling, and optimizing our long-term software delivery fabric. With your strong technical expertise and exceptional developer empathy, you will look beyond immediate needs to build a proactive, secure, and flexible environment where software and dev box provisioning is invisible, governed, and highly intelligent.

You will execute the roadmap for a greenfield software delivery ecosystem similar to Workbrew that serves two distinct, high-impact cohorts: this project’s macOS-based builder community and the Linux-based automated agents operating in the CI/CD pipeline. You will implement solutions for complex software supply chain challenges, ranging from automated threat screening and package quarantine loops to engineering robust, well-architected data pipelines that ensure total visibility across the technical landscape. You will participate in critical architectural discussions, collaborate with key stake holders, to help shape long-term developer platform strategy for special projects.

How You Can Make An Impact

Build and Execute: Implement, migrate, and optimize a unified, greenfield software delivery platform that provides a reviewed, governed Golden Path for software consumption across the company. Innovate for the Future: Develop a platform capable of seamlessly supplying software and managing dependencies for both human developers and autonomous agents working in code-generation and review pipelines. Champion Tooling Ergonomics: Prioritize the developer experience by building clean, ergonomic interfaces and CLI tools that serve as an intuitive safety net rather than a source of friction. Drive Supply Chain Defense: Build automated security guardrails, including version cooldown periods and strict quarantine rules, to detect and block supply chain attacks before code enters production environments. Build Well-Architected Data Pipelines: Implement high-performance telemetry pipelines to track asset distribution and version drift, streaming data cleanly into our enterprise data stack including Snowflake, Datadog, and Prometheus. Automate Technical Governance: Work with Staff and Principal Engineers to translate the Tech Radar tiers (Adopt, Trial, Assess, Hold) for special projects into real-time, automated platform enforcements. Collaborate Strategically: Work closely with Security, Endpoint Management, and Infrastructure/Product Engineering teams to align engineering velocity with rigorous threat-screening and compliance standards.

About You

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 4+ years of professional software development and systems engineering experience, with a heavy emphasis on Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE, or Developer Experience. Deep developer empathy and a proven track record of implementing and maintaining highly ergonomic internal developer tools or API contracts or shared libraries. Strong understanding of macOS and Linux operating system internals, alongside hands-on experience managing or interacting with multi-language package management systems such as Homebrew, pip, and npm. Experience in data engineering, specifically implementing scalable data schemas and streaming data into query engines like Snowflake or visualization platforms like Datadog/Grafana. Practical knowledge of Software Supply Chain Security concepts such as vulnerability mapping, dependency management, and artifact signing. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across technical teams and align engineering efforts with broader organizational goals.

Nice to Have

Experience working with environments that leverage LLM-based assistants or automated agents for system configuration and code generation. Active involvement or interest in open-source developer tooling or software supply chain security communities. Experience working with containerized ecosystems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native platforms like AWS or GCP
