The role

A principal DFT engineer works in semiconductor solutions, driving microcontroller hardware test design for complex SoCs. They lead DFT implementation using scan insertion, ATPG, MBIST and LBIST, verify test logic, deliver production test patterns, and support silicon bring-up. Their defining skills include scan insertion, ATPG, and DFT RTL insertion, alongside MBIST, LBIST, SRAM repair, test-pattern debugging, scripting, and DFT methodology.

Your Role

Drive and manage as technical lead a self-contained DFT team which is responsible for:The DFT implementation of the latest Infineon microcontroller productsScan insertion, ATPG, LBIST and MBISTVerification of the DFT implementation and Test pattern delivery for production testingSupport the Silicon bring-up activities to guarantee the highest stability of the test patternContribute to the overall microcontroller DFT methodologyCoordination of DFT work packages and hands-on work, status reportingInterfacing with project management, layout team and test engineering

Your Profile

A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a similar field.Profound knowledge about semiconductor products.At least 10 years of experience in DFT of highly complex SoCsExpert Knowledge of DFT methods for state-of-the-art MPU/MCU products.Working knowledge of the test concept or the DFT concept definition.Strong track record of scan insertion and ATPGVery good knowledge of DFT RTL insertion, including MBIST and SRAM repairExperience in debugging test pattern issuesProgramming or scripting experienceVery good soft skills and experience in leading
