Job Description
The Sales Commission Operations team is looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of analysts in India supporting global commission processes. This role combines team leadership, operational ownership, and analytical partnership, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-quality support and actionable insights to our global sales organization.
As a Manager, you will oversee a team of analysts, manage shared services support operations, and partner with stakeholders to improve compensation plans, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learningSet clear priorities, performance expectations, and development plans aligned with organizational goalsDrive team effectiveness through strong planning, workload management, and clear communicationServe as an escalation point for complex operational and stakeholder issues
Commission Operations Ownership
Oversee end-to-end commission processes, including calculations, validations, audits, and accrual reportingEnsure timely and accurate coordination with Payroll and Accounting across monthly and quarterly cyclesEstablish and maintain strong operational controls and governance frameworksReview and approve outputs to ensure high standards of accuracy and compliance
Shared Services Support Operations
Lead shared services case management operations, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution of commission-related inquiriesEstablish and monitor SLAs and service quality standards across global support requestsAnalyze trends in inquiries and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and user experiencePartner with global stakeholders to continuously enhance support processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Compensation Planning & Analytical Partnership
Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and Compensation teams to inform and improve compensation plan designLead or support incentive modeling and scenario analysis to inform quota setting and business decision-makingProvide data-driven recommendations on plan effectiveness, payout curves, and sales behavior alignmentSupport annual and mid-year planning cycles through analysis, modeling, and operational readiness
Reporting & Business Insights
Oversee delivery of recurring and ad hoc reporting to stakeholders using Excel, Power BI, and other toolsEnsure data integrity, transparency, and accessibility across reporting outputsProvide insights into commission performance, operational metrics, and support trendsSupport leadership reporting needs aligned with U.S. time zone and business priorities
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
Lead initiatives to automate and streamline processes using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Dynamics and AnaplanIdentify and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortPartner cross-functionally to enhance systems, workflows, and data qualityContribute to broader transformation initiatives within sales compensation operations
Operational Metrics & Governance
Define and track key operational metrics, including SLA adherence, error rates, and team capacity, to drive continuous improvementUse data to identify process gaps, improve accuracy, and enhance overall team effectivenessMaintain strong audit and compliance standards across commission processes
Global Stakeholder Partnership
Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Payroll, HR, and Operations teams across regionsAlign with U.S.-based Senior Manager and stakeholders on priorities, deliverables, and timelinesEnsure accurate compensation plan data and system integritySupport audit, compliance, and governance requirements
Skills & Qualifications
5-8+ years of relevant experience in sales compensation, finance operations, or related fieldProven people management experience, ideally leading teams in a global or matrixed environmentExperience supporting compensation planning, modeling, or quota analysis strongly preferredExperience managing shared services or case management operations preferredAdvanced Excel skills; strong working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Dynamics, and AnaplanExperience with automation tools (e.g., Python) is a plusStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across time zonesAbility to balance operational execution with analytical partnership and process improvementDemonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to influence decisions through data
