Your new role

As Global CI Lead, you will play a central role in monitoring the competitive landscape and generating high-quality insights that inform some of Novo Nordisk's most important strategic decisions within Obesity and Metabolic diseases. You will work at the intersection of science, and strategy – translating complex competitor activity into clear implications for our R&D projects, brands and portfolio.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Providing data-driven news monitoring, analysis and communication of competitor activities within your areas of coverage, including timely input to the monthly CI newsletter and updates to senior managementPlanning and executing coverage of key scientific and clinical congresses – including first takes, pre- and post-congress reports and daily updates – and sharing high-quality in-sights with relevant stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining competitor overviews, monitors, company one-pagers, funnels and market overviews on the CI portalDriving deep-dive analyses of key competitors, including clinical profiles, regulatory pathways, and corporate strategy, feeding into the Corporate Strategy documentProviding continuous support and challenge to key R&D projects and brand teams, including traffic light assessments for project gate passages and portfolio reviewsSupporting / Driving Business Development opportunities within Obesity and Metabolic disease with timely competitive landscapes and assessmentsLeading and contributing to projects on Key Intelligence Topics (KITs) of strategic im-portance to Novo Nordisk Contributing to the continuous development of the CI function and building a strong in-ternal network across P&PS, Medical Affairs, R&D, BD and Regulatory AffairsTravel of 10-15 days per year is expected.

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness.

Within P&PS, you will join CI & Devices in Strategic Marketing & Insights – a team of curious, analytical minds dedicated to sharpening Novo Nordisk's understanding of the competitive environment. We work closely with senior leaders, R&D, Medical Affairs, BD and Regulatory colleagues to ensure that our strategic choices are grounded in the best possible intelligence. It is a role with high visibility, high independence and direct influence on how Novo Nordisk navigates a rapidly evolving Obesity and Metabolic diseases landscape.

Your Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced professional who combines scientific depth with strategic thinking and a natural curiosity for what competitors are doing – and why. To succeed in this role, you likely bring:

A Master's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent life science discipline) with 7-8 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with exposure to Obesity or Metabolic diseasesStrong science and disease understanding, combined with solid knowledge of clinical trial design, data interpretation, regulatory processes and the broader pharma value chain – along with good marketing and manufacturing insightProven experience communicating scientific, medical and clinical information clearly and confidently – both orally and in writing – to audiences ranging from project teams to senior management and governance boardsStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and challenge data thoughtfully and deliver high-quality work with structure and attention to detailExcellent collaboration skills, the ability to operate independently in cross-functional set-tings and a genuine appetite for learning the broader business and biotech/pharma industryFluency in English, both written and spoken
