Job Title: Manager, FinOps

Location: Bengaluru

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly accountable Manager, FinOps to lead cloud financial operations, cost governance, billing transparency, and optimization initiatives across global cloud platforms. This role requires strong FinOps expertise, excellent analytical capability, and exceptional communication skills to manage global stakeholders across IT, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and business teams. The successful candidate should be able to operate independently, drive daily FinOps activities, resolve stakeholder queries, and provide seamless coverage in the absence of the reporting manager.

Key Responsibilities

Lead FinOps operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring cost visibility, governance, optimization, accurate reporting, and billing transparency for global stakeholdersManage cloud billing, cost allocation, chargeback/showback, tagging compliance, budget tracking, forecasting, and spend variance analysisPartner with Finance, Engineering, DevOps, Procurement, and business teams to align cloud consumption with financial targets and enterprise governance standardsTranslate complex cloud cost data into clear, actionable insights, dashboards, and executive-ready recommendationsIndependently handle daily FinOps operations, stakeholder queries, billing escalations, reporting requests, and follow-ups during the reporting manager’s absenceIdentify and drive optimization opportunities, including rightsizing, commitment coverage, storage optimization, idle resource cleanup, and usage trend analysisImprove FinOps processes, controls, documentation, governance cadences, and stakeholder communication routinesCoach analysts and team members on FinOps best practices, cloud billing processes, reporting standards, and stakeholder engagement

Requirements

8+ years of experience in IT, Cloud Operations, Finance Operations, or related roles, with strong exposure to FinOps and cloud cost managementStrong understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP billing constructs, consumption models, commitment discounts, and cost optimization leversExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with confidence engaging global, cross-functional, and senior stakeholdersAbility to work independently, take ownership of daily operations, resolve queries, manage escalations, and provide reliable backup coverage during the manager’s absenceStrong financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, variance-analysis, and data-interpretation skillsHands-on experience with cloud cost and analytics tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, Power BI, Excel, SQL, or equivalent platformsStrong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced global environmentBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience applying AI for FinOps use cases, including cost anomaly analysis, forecasting support, automation, and insight generationundefinedPython data analytics for automation, reporting, data validation, and cloud cost analysisPower BI dashboard development for cloud spend visibility, KPI tracking, and executive reportingHands-on cloud platform experience across Azure, AWS, and GCPExpertise in FinOps commitment-plan strategies, including enterprise discount programs, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Spot usage, Sustained Use Discounts, and Committed Use DiscountsExperience with agentic AI concepts and AI-enabled workflow automation for FinOps reporting and analysisAdvanced Excel skills for financial modelling, variance analysis, reconciliations, and executive reportingStrong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and business analyticsProven ability to collaborate with global teams across Finance, IT, Engineering, Procurement, and business stakeholdersSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team while delivering superior customer serviceUnderstanding of application development environments, databases, data management, and infrastructure capabilities and constraintsAbility to analyse large datasets and produce meaningful insights for operational, financial, and executive decision-making
