Job Purpose

This position is responsible for software development in the area of HMI/UI for agricultural vehicles, contributing to the design, implementation and maintenance of software solutions. This role involves creating software architecture designs implementing UI using multiple technologies. This role will involve preparing engineering estimates, developing solutions, verifying the solutions and continuously managing development progress. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about world class software development and giving technical leadership to development team with demonstrated ability to collaborate, process improvements, drive change and adapt to latest technology.

Key Responsibilities

Develop HMI using JAVA/Android for Precision Application product solutions.Create and refine software requirements to meet system requirements for Precision Farming Applications.Create SW architecture at feature level or subsystem levelWork independently and with team members in day-to-day activities.Follow and help improve software development processes.Drive application performance and memory improvements.Analyzing and root cause software issues found internally and externally.Develop software unit test scripts.Travel, as necessary, to local and global locations to resolve problems, explore design alternatives, reverse engineering, and provide information.Analyze issues reported from integration/field testing (including production code) and provide required guidance to team to identify resolution in short time Present project and improvement initiative status to management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives for products and processes.Provide Technical Leadership to SW development team.Act as quality gate for SW deliverables by development team.

Experience Required

4-7 years of experience in Java and Android Application DevelopmentStrong proficiency in Core Java, with fair knowledge of the language specificationThorough knowledge of the standard library, Collection framework containers.Have a good understanding of Multiprocessing and Multithreading in Java.Good understanding of Synchronization technic in Java.Good understanding of core concepts of Android like Data Binding, Intent, Broadcast Receiver etc.Hands on experience Dependency Injection framework, RX Java.Good Understanding MVVM architecture.Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit testsProficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and SVNFamiliarity with continuous integration through GitHub is appreciated.Good understanding of SOLID PrincipleGood understanding of Data Structure and Algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, and Electronics Engineering. Master’s Degree is preferred. Hands-on experience with Off-Road, Commercial Vehicle or Automotive products. Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts and software implementation in accordance with ISO25119, ISO13849, ISO26262 Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and implementation
