Goal of the Job:To ensure product excellence by managing supplier quality, overseeing mould trials, and guiding New Product Development (NPD) qualifications. Core duties include supplier audits, incoming material inspections, dimensional validation of new moulds, and leading 8D Process for root-cause problem-solving to meet company standards.
Job Responsibilities:SupB21:I25l- Audit raw material and component suppliers.Track supplier defect rates and delivery performance.Review and approve supplier Corrective Action Reports (CAR).Perform incoming quality inspections (IQC) as needed.Mould & Tooling Validation- Coordinate first article inspection (FAI) for new moulds.Review tool design drawings and dimensional reports.Monitor mould trials (T1, T2) and document process parameters.Ensure tooling modifications meet production requirements. work closely with Hayco MM and Hayco Quality standards.NPD Qualifications- Lead New Product Development quality gate reviews.Create and manage control plans, PFMEA, and DFMEA documentation.Validate pilot production runs and gauge test results.Sign off on product sign-offs before mass production launch. Working with R&D team on ECR and ECN process."Failure Investigation: Investigate equipment failures, component defects, and line stoppages.Methodology Expertise: Utilize 5-Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and FMEA frameworks.CAPA Management: Issue, track, and validate Corrective and Preventive Actions.Preventative Focus: Implement mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) designs on the shop floor""Six Sigma & Continuous ImprovementDefect Reduction: Lead DMAIC projects to reduce scrap and rework rates.Statistical Analysis: Apply SPC, Gage R&R, and capability studies (Cp/Cpk).Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze production data using Minitab or similar software.Lean Integration: Partner with production teams to eliminate waste and variance."
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.5-8 years of quality engineering experience in equipment manufacturing, R/D, NPD or technical projects.Certified Green Belt or Black Belt. ISO Lead Auditor certificate will be an advantage
