This is your role. What part will you play?

To lead the assembly value stream for high voltage switchgear, transforming engineering designs into high-quality products. This role is the bridge between strategic production planning and shop-floor execution, ensuring that delivers "Technology with Purpose" safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence (OpEx) Capacity Planning: Managing labor and station utilization to meet fluctuating demand in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environment. Lean Transformation: Standardizing work instructions and optimizing material flow to reduce lead times. EHS Leadership: Maintaining a "Zero Harm" environment; ensuring strict adherence to electrical safety protocols during assembly and testing. Adhere to Factory/manufacturing KPI’s Digitalization & Innovation Smart Factory: Integrating digital twins and augmented reality (AR/AI) for complex assembly guidance. Data-Driven Decisions: Utilizing shop-floor data to predict bottlenecks and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Quality & Compliance Technical Integrity: Ensuring every unit meets international standards (IEC/IEEE) and specific customer requirements. Cost of Quality: Minimizing non-conformance costs (NCC) through root-cause analysis of assembly errors. Leadership Competencies Change Management: Ability to lead teams through digital transitions and process overhauls. Conflict Resolution: Managing high-pressure situations between production targets and technical constraints. Strategic Thinking: Balancing today’s production output with tomorrow’s scalability needs. Handling IR/Union related topics Technical Competencies Switchgear Expertise: Deep understanding of electromechanical assembly, busbar systems, and circuit breaker/GIs integration. Lean/Six Sigma: Proficiency in Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, MOST and FMEA methodologies. Systems Literacy: Advanced knowledge of SAP (PP/MM modules) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Conduct in-depth process analysis, value stream mapping, and bottleneck identification to uncover opportunities for efficiency gains and waste reduction. Lead Kaizen events, workshops, and cross-functional teams to drive process re-engineering and optimization efforts. Evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art digital manufacturing solutions (e.g., MES, MOM, PLM integration, predictive maintenance platforms). Drive the adoption of automation technologies, from concept to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes. Collaborate with IT, R&D, and external vendors to develop and deploy innovative digital and automation solutions. Establish metrics and monitoring systems to track the performance and impact of digitization and automation initiatives. Strategic Initiative Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for manufacturing process excellence, digitization, and automation, aligned with overall business objectives and Industry 4.0 principles. Identify, prioritize, and lead high-impact projects that leverage digital tools (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, digital twins, advanced analytics) and automation technologies (e.g., robotics, AGVs, collaborative robots) to optimize manufacturing operations. Build business cases for new initiatives, including ROI analysis, resource planning, and risk assessment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with manufacturing site leaders, engineering, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of initiatives. Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership and key stakeholders effectively. Act as an internal consultant and subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on process excellence, digitization, and automation best practices. Knowledge Management & Capability Building: Develop and deliver training programs to upskill manufacturing teams in new digital tools, automation technologies, and process improvement methodologies. Foster a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous learning across the manufacturing organization. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in manufacturing, automation, and digitalization.

You are a Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Industrial Engineer (B.E. / B.Tech)

You've 15 years’ experience in switchgear production industry, driving manufacturing initiatives.

You’ve basic knowledge of commercial concepts of business and good working knowledge of MS Office.

You’ve strong written and verbal communication skills.
