Overview
In charge/supervision of one territory - Ensure the CF development of potatoes.Identification of farmers / traders / cooperatives / association / groups / NGO and sustain strategic relationship with them to ensure seed to seed operation takes place smoothly.Ensure discipline amongst farmers / partners / suppliers to have effective administration and implementation of company policy and standards. Also, maintain and lead the relationship building with local government officials & administrative officers.Ensuring implementation of Contract Farming norms / seed sale / supplier data base and Mandi relations.Drive the Water positive agenda through drip irrigation and Sprinkler irrigation contributing to Pl Positive Water balance.Identify, modify, store and manage the seed cold
Responsibilities
Identify and develop the new farmers/area for the seed multiplication to cater the need of the business.
Own and drive the Regen Ag+ agenda to develop sustainable relationship with farmers and other stakeholders.
Drive micro irrigation in the geography. ,Execute the contract farming proposal as per the contract/agreement with the farmers Liaison with local government officials - agricultural / horticulture - arrange field visits and increase farmer connect & get third party endorsement,Arrange for seed advance collection on behalf of growers.
Maintain ongoing relationship with the farmers, key members of society and government and suppliers.
Ensure discipline amongst partners / suppliers / effective administration and implementation of company policy and standards. Also, maintain relationship with local government officials & administrative officers.
Identify the new pockets that would complement / supplement existing plan and increase penetration of program and create opportunities to improve quality of the produce Daily updating and maintenance of dispatch records for all procurements, loading /unloading.
Handling queries ensuring accurate documentation and completion of formalities as per QC protocol.
Arrange for timely allocation / distribution of seed/MiniTuber to farmers and arrange post planting supervision and POP implementation.
Ensure the DFD (Digital Field Diary) for each and every terrains mapped, timely data update, capturing of events, POP adherence, strip test, diseases/rains challenges and Manager assessment factors to give visibility to the business on quantity and quality of seed, Develop/arrange farmers to provide shed arrangements and graders availability for timely procurement of the seed from the farmers fields.
Arrange for timely harvesting of material and supply to stores/regions as per requirement Ensure seed security programs and zero pilferage of seed.
Counselling and coaching to farmer members and growers on Package Of Practice (POP)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture) is preferred.MBA/Postgraduate qualification in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or Supply Chain is preferred.2-3 years of experience required
