Oracle Apps DBA & Fusion Middleware Administrator

Location: Mumbai

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5–6 years of relevant hands-on experience in Oracle Applications, Database and/or Fusion Middleware administration.

Strong experience in infrastructure installation, configuration, administration and production support, with emphasis on Oracle Fusion Middleware/WebLogic and Oracle Applications environments.

Candidates should have a combination of Apps DBA and Fusion Middleware skills, with strong expertise in at least one area and good working knowledge of the other.

BE/MCA or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively in customer-facing, mission-critical environments.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Open to working in 24x7 shifts and weekends as required.

OCI certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Oracle Database, Oracle Applications and Fusion Middleware/WebLogic environments.

Implement and coordinate changes across Infrastructure, Database, Middleware and Application layers.

Install, configure, administer, patch and upgrade Oracle WebLogic and Fusion Middleware in standalone and clustered environments.

Strong understanding of Oracle WebLogic architecture, including vertical/horizontal clustering, load balancing and high availability.

Support and maintain highly available Oracle environments spanning multiple data centers, including RAC, Active Data Guard, Physical/Snapshot Standby, switchover and failover.

Support multi-node application environments, including Web and Forms nodes, load balancing, DNS/network configuration, servlets, distributed processing and shared application-tier file systems.

Experience with Oracle Applications 11i/R12, including administration, refreshes, cloning, patching and maintenance of multi-node environments.

Experience with Oracle Database upgrades to 19c and application/middleware platform upgrades.

Hands-on experience with Fusion Middleware products including WebLogic, SOA and OBIEE.

Knowledge of Identity Management and OAM.

Configure and administer JDBC connection pools, Data Sources, JMS Queues, Topics, Distributed Destinations, Foreign JMS Providers and Message Bridges.

Configure and troubleshoot one-way and two-way SSL.

Deploy and migrate WAR, EJB and EAR applications across development, test, QA and production environments using WebLogic Console, deployment utilities and WLST.

Experience implementing and supporting Disaster Recovery solutions, including synchronization using RSYNC.

Hands-on experience with WebLogic patching, performance optimization and troubleshooting.

Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and shell scripting, with experience automating operational activities and reducing incidents and manual effort.

Simplify server and service management through automation, standardization and proactive problem management.

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.

Expertise in cloud platforms and migration of on-premises Oracle environments to OCI.

Experience provisioning and maintaining environments on OCI, Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

Working knowledge of Docker containers and orchestration technologies.

Manage planned downtime and restore services following unplanned outages within committed SLAs.

Perform capacity management, performance analysis, proactive recommendations and implementation support.

Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide preventive and proactive support for mission-critical environments.
