Job Description
Manage the procurement of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment required for all hotel departments, ensuring optimal quality and value for moneyDevelop and maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing and favourable payment termsPrepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel procurement policies and proceduresMonitor inventory levels across departments and coordinate with stakeholders to forecast purchasing requirementsConduct regular quality inspections of delivered goods and services, addressing any discrepancies or non-conformance issues promptlyMaintain comprehensive procurement documentation, including contracts, quotations, and supplier performance recordsAnalyse spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities whilst maintaining service standards and guest satisfactionLiaise with department heads to understand their purchasing needs and provide timely support and guidanceEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and hotel procurement guidelinesPrepare regular reports on procurement activities, expenditure, and supplier performance for management reviewParticipate in the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, conducting due diligence and background checks as requiredManage the supplier database and maintain up-to-date information on vendor credentials and certifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related fieldMinimum 5-7 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industryDemonstrated expertise in vendor management and supplier relationship developmentStrong proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systemsExcellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings whilst maintaining quality standardsComprehensive knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
